Westport welcomes film makers

Westport Town Council in co-operation with the Irish Film Board is welcoming film makers from all around the world to use the town as a location for their productions.

Westport has already featured as a location for several large scale films, advertisements and documentaries.

The town has also served as a base for production companies who are filming in the West.

Westport is 30 minutes from the International Airport at Knock, is serviced by rail from the capital Dublin and is on the National road route.

Westport is set in some of the most beautiful scenery in the world and is a Georgian Heritage Town though it has been used for filming as both a modern day city and a period town.

Contact us today to see how Westport Town Council can help your production.
